THE INFLUENCE OF SOFT SKILLS AND INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE ON WORK READINESS AMONG MARKETING GRADUATES

This study examined the influence of soft skills and internship experience on work readiness among marketing graduates, highlighting the importance of preparing students to meet the demands of the professional workforce. The research aimed to determine the levels of soft skills, internship experience, and work readiness, and to assess the relationship and influence of these factors on graduates' readiness for the workplace. A quantitative descriptive correlational research design was employed to address the research objectives. Using stratified random sampling, a total of 239 Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing Management graduates from a local college, spanning the school years 2021 to 2025, were surveyed. Correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between soft skills and work readiness, as well as between internship experience and work readiness. Regression analysis further revealed that both soft skills and internship experience significantly influenced work readiness, with internship experience having a more substantial impact. Overall, the study confirms soft skills and internships improve work readiness. Future research should explore digital skills. Schools must strengthen internships, while employers provide supportive learning environments.
